Sports in Transition

Today we began with baseball tryouts and then onto a basketball game-all for Jacob! Jordan is currently off sports for one more week. Jacob gets to have a slight overlap. Oh, the joys of a sports family!!! I love it!!

This is my first attempt at braiding Faith's hair. Not too bad. The best part was her sitting still for me on the bathroom counter. She was the one who decided she wanted a braid. I love all the colors in her hair. Natural highlights-wow!

So we continued with more braids for a few days. Now she is back to wanting her hair down, no braid, no pony tails. It was fun while it lasted and I'm sure she will want to revisit the braid here and there. Hair up or down she is a pretty little girl!

So just yesterday I took the time to set up iGoogle as my homepage. So far, with some effort, I love it. I get my Blog, email and calendar at my fingertips. Plus weather, news, games...however I want to set it up!

Football, football and more football!!! Love watching my boys play! Jacob did great last Saturday-was involved in just about every play! Only sat out for one or two plays. Even caught a completion!!! Tonight Jordan blocked, blocked and blocked some more! Huge win over South. Way to go boys!!! Faith also did great in her 1st dance class (the picture is of Faith on right, and Grace on left, going to dance hand in hand) and in her gymnastics (without me)! She started homeschool preschool and loves every minute! So cute. Thank you Lord for my wonderful children!!!!!

So we had a memorial service for my Grandmother this week. It was so very nice. I loved the slide show of pictures spanning her 91 years. My cousin's and uncles did a nice job speaking & singing. The best part was the releasing of the doves. So beautiful!! Such a relief to know she is in heaven, pain free and celebrating with Jesus!

So it is just a technicality that Jordan turned 13 yesterday...he basically has been a teenager for over a year now.

Today marks 16 years that Troy and I have been married!! I was just looking at our wedding pictures and in that time so much has changed. Grandparents are gone, divorce has separated family members, pounds and lines have been added (me:(), the kids in the pictures have grown up, we have our own kids, and more. In those pictures you can see the love that we started with. It is different to...stronger and deeper. I love you Troy, now and always!! Happy Anniversary babe!Love, Wen:)

3rd Place Finish

Jacob's team finished 3rd in the tournament over the weekend. He did a great job...a smashing 3 RBI double hit to the fence, other RBI's and hits, great fielding, and the final 3 outs by him while playing 3rd base in the last game. Way to go Jacob!!!
